Did Your Ram Truck Let You Down in Florida?
You May Have a Lemon Law Case
Get Your Refund of Replacement
Ram trucks, including the Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, and Ram ProMaster, are among the most frequently reported lemon law vehicles in Florida. Ram is manufactured by Stellantis, the same parent company behind Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler. If your Ram has a recurring defect, including transmission failure, engine problems, electrical malfunctions, or brake issues, that an authorized Ram dealer cannot fix after a reasonable number of attempts within the first 24 months or 24,000 miles, Florida law entitles you to a full buyback or replacement. Stellantis may be responsible to pay attorney's fees, MMD Law Advocates represents Ram owners throughout Florida at zero upfront cost.
Does Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 Trucks
2026 Electrical Epidemic Qualify under Lemon Law ?
You bought a RAM for its legendary power and industry-leading technology. But for many 2025 and 2026 owners, that technology has become a liability. From the new Hurricane I6 engine overheating to the widespread "11.7V Death Spiral" electrical failures, a defective truck isn't just an inconvenience, it’s a threat to your livelihood.
As your Attorney in the Family, we hold Stellantis (FCA) accountable. Whether you are in Kendall, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, or Naples, we represent RAM owners throughout the 11th, 17th, and 20th Judicial Circuits. If your truck is a lemon, the manufacturer, not you, is responsible for our legal fees.
Is Stellantis the Same Company as Ram?
If you own a Ram truck and got a denial letter from someone called "Stellantis," you're not alone, and you're not out of options. Stellantis is the parent company behind Ram, Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler. Most people never hear that name until something goes wrong. So when your Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, or ProMaster has a problem, your legal notices, arbitration papers, and denial letters all say Stellantis. Same company. Just the name they use when it's official.
Here's what that means for you. Stellantis has lawyers. They have an arbitration process. And that process is designed to make you feel like their offer is your only option. It's not.
Under Florida's Lemon Law, if your Ram has a defect the dealer can't fix after a reasonable number of attempts, you may be entitled to a full buyback, a replacement vehicle, and Stellantis may be paying your attorney's fees.

What are the Requirements for my Ram to Qualify for Lemon Law?
In Florida, you don't need a catastrophic engine explosion to qualify for a Lemon Law claim. If you have taken your Ram in for any recurring defects that affect its safety, use, or value, and the dealer has failed to provide a permanent repair after a reasonable number of attempts, you are entitled to a refund.
But be aware with defects likely to cause death or serious injury (like sudden highway stalling or brake failure), fewer repair attempts may be required.

Family Tip: Always keep your "Repair Orders." Even if the dealer says they couldn't find the problem, that paperwork is the "receipt" we use to build your case.

What are the Most Frequented Ram Lemon Law Defects?
Ram markets its trucks "Nothing Stops Ram" and "Strong as a Steel" but for thousands of Florida owners, the reality is recurring repairs and safety risks that may result in death has STOPPED the Ram suddenly on I-95 or the turnpike. If your truck has been in the shop for any of the following, you may have a Lemon Law claim.

What are the Most Common Ram Truck Defects
We See in Florida?
Q: My 2026 Ram 1500 has "flashing" odometer numbers. Is this a sign of a Lemon?
A: Yes. In the 2025-2026 models, a flashing odometer is a communication error within the CAN bus system. It usually means the Proximity Module or BCM is failing to sync. If your dealer "reboots" it and the flashing returns, you have a documented electronic nonconformity that counts toward your repair attempts.
Q: Does the "Hurricane" engine have a break-in period that causes misfires?
A: No. Dealers often tell owners to "just drive it" to fix initial rough idling or misfire codes. However, we are seeing catastrophic thermostat and catalytic converter melting in the high-output Hurricane engines. If you see a Check Engine Light in the first 500 miles, do not wait, it is an "Infant Mortality" defect that triggers Florida Lemon Law protections immediately.
Q: I have a "Dead Battery" every morning. How do I prove this is a Lemon?
A: This is the Parasitic Drain issue (TSB 08-380-25). The truck’s modules aren't "going to sleep," killing the battery overnight. If you have replaced the battery twice and the truck still won't start, your dealer hasn't found the root cause. Under Statute 681, we use these repeated "No-Start" events to prove the vehicle’s use is substantially impaired.
Q: If I use my Ram for my construction business, am I still covered?
A: Yes. The Florida Lemon Law covers vehicles used for personal, family, or household purposes, but it also covers vehicles used for business as long as they are weighing under 10,000 pounds (which includes the RAM 1500 and many 2500 configurations).
Q: Stellantis says my part is on "National Backorder." What are my rights?
A: This is your strongest leverage. If your Ram is sitting at a dealer in Fort Myers or Miami waiting for a part for more than 30 days, the law presumes the vehicle is a lemon. The manufacturer's supply chain issues are not your problem. You are entitled to a buyback regardless of why the repair is delayed.
